About Annica – Guide at KinnekulleTurism
My journey to becoming a guide began in West Sweden,
where I grew up on my parents’ dairy farm in Olofstorp, northeast of Gothenburg.
For over ten years, I worked on the farm, and through Arla Minior,
I guided over 100 school classes, introducing children to modern farming.
This experience ignited my passion for guiding and storytelling.
In 2020, I set my sights on Skaraborg—a region rich in history,
culture, and breathtaking nature. I quickly fell in love with Kinnekulle,
known as the "flowering mountain," with its diverse landscapes, historic sites, and captivating legends. This led me to study at Vadstena Folk High School, where I became a certified SveGuide and member of the Västgöta Guides Association.
Since 2022, I have worked with travel agencies, businesses, and organizations to create bus tours and guided hikes across Skaraborg and Kinnekulle. My expertise extends beyond traditional guiding—I am also a Platåparks Guide for Platåbergens Geopark and a Biosphere Ambassador for UNESCO’s Vänerskärgården with Kinnekulle Biosphere Reserve, offering a deeper understanding of the region’s unique natural and cultural heritage.
In 2024, I completed my second certification as a Nature and Adventure Guide at Stensund Folk High School, further expanding my expertise in hiking, kayaking, cycling, outdoor cooking, and nature experiences. This allows me to offer immersive outdoor adventures across West Sweden.
With additional studies in event and tourism development, experience in agritourism travel booking, and work as a tour leader for English-speaking groups, I bring knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling to every experience.
✨ How can I help you discover Skaraborg and Kinnekulle? ✨
